Alpha Concepts Plus has started demonstrations of its Alpha Mod eight channel high speed optical test instrument in December 2009.
The Alpha Mod model 111452 has proven to be the only optical telecommunication test instrument of its kind capable of acquiring telecommunication data in real time and performing system analysis and diagnostic testing with extremely high precision. No instrument exists at any price that is as compatible with international telecommunication protocols.
The Alpha Mod model 111450 and 111452 are the first releases on the Alpha Concepts Plus product roadmap, with production units starting to ship in mid 2010.
ALPHA MOD is a more practical and cost effective system to accumulate large amounts of nondescript data from large border security sensor arrays and allocate bandwidth to "Points of Interest" while maintaining continuous communication to remote command and control over commercial fiber optic networks.
The ALPHA MOD is composed of a high bandwidth Tunable Optical Multiplexer/De-multiplexer (Mux/DeMux) coupled to reconfigurable computational elements and controlled by a robust and very flexible application software system that allows the ALPHA MOD resources to be redirected as necessary to high priority tasks. The deep data capture memory in the ALPHA MOD allows analytical algorithms to be loaded into the system at anytime to expose and assess possible threats presented in the sensor array data and to respond with risk assessments to regional and/or national command and control centers.
The high integrity and security attained by converting and encrypting electrical sensor array data to high speed optical data local to the boarder or area being monitored allows the ALPHA MOD to flawlessly and securely process and transmit data from targets of interest over the existing commercial fiber optic system. Interfacing with ANY existing fiber optic telecommunication system gives the ALPHA MOD the unique ability to be deployed anywhere between the sensor zone to the secure command and control location. This allows the ALPHA MOD with its tunable optics to be the most dependable, flexible and cost effective solution to sensor array data Accumulation, Processing and Secure Transport.
The ALPHA MOD has been designed so that multiple ALPHA MOD modules and be interfaced at the front and rear end of the system to form a complete but expandable system. Alpha Concepts Plus has designed the ALPHA MOD to be compatible with advances in memory and processor technology and the operational and application software for the ALPHA MOD system has been design with a user interface that can be learned quickly by a technician so the ALPHA MOD requires no special knowledge of software languages or hardware.
ALPHA Concepts Plus has invested substantial resources in developing, maintaining and evolving the ALPHA MOD system as one of its core assets. Programs are underway to substantially increase the data processing capacity and the software features of the ALPHA MOD system for future applications.
